what country do you think is is the most successful history in terms of benefiting it's people?

| Roman empire didn't benefited its people. Only the aristocrats had the power. Plus, there were slaves. Athens - too. About US - about 80% of the population is uneducated. Most of the american prosperity comes from exploitation of other nations.

| ottoman empire was the longest lasting =D and their slaves were able to rise in station =D
but...chinese empire, just...all of them...can i lump them together as a whole? i think they were the most interesting XD | |

| the roman empire brought it's pepole 300 years of relativly uniterubted peace so that gotta count for something.
yes I forgot the chinese but not all were succsesfull.
acctully chinese civalisation preceeded mesopotamian by 3500 years.
80%?? right I think it's closer to 5% but only 30-50% go to uni. | |

| that few amount of people going to university is depressing enough for me -_-
oh, no doubt the roman empire was one of the most important empires - especially for the u.s. - those who have been taught in the u.s. schools about the u.s. should remember the whole lesson on how the "founding fathers" practically worshiped roman civilization lol
(i think the concept have having a senate and an emergency dictator was ESPECIALLY intriguing to them lol) | |

| yeah, but....they choose to go because they think it will bring them success - in america, people choose not to go so they can get a job...
or, more often, they simply CAN'T go because they have no money | |

Influnses as in? but ya rome was probably one of the best. Language and culture for starters. Architecture styles we use today are still very roman (ever been to DC?). Lots of folks still practice their religion too | |
