| really what kind? and what os are you useing. Also what do you want to use the notebook for. I got mine with vista so i took that off and put xp on it. I also use mine manly to take to my campus for in between my classes. I am a casual gamer also and i play counter strike, warcraft 3, half life, and starcraft mainly and im able to play everything fine. |

| i can't tell, its a fairly old model though, first use was by me.
i'm running ubuntu on it, but it was intended for xp...i think i screwed it up by forcing an update of the hardware drivers, which ubuntu can't fix (because they are restricted...something about the hardware stuff not being open source and them not having access to it)
i just need to be more careful this time - it would be nice to have a laptop without that problem though
i use mine for just about anything and everything, except gaming which i do on my desktop.
i mean, i take it EVERYWHERE with me, so its banged up a bit now.... | |

| Ah yeah when i made the switch over i had to search everwhere for my drivers becuase sadly micrsoft and toshiba have a deal were they only offer service for vista drivers. took me forever to find all of them and some of which i still cant find. I have a toshiba stalite. I mean dell are decent as well. but other than that most other companies lack in the mobile area. except alienware which are around 5k. |
